Flowers in Recollection

Flowers in Recollection

I remember that I was unwilling to attending school when I was very young,

while I liked drawing on the ground with a branch instead.

When I grew up, I knew chalk, crayon, so I drew more.

Afterward, the extraordinary efforts made by my parents and our hard life

impressed my eyes and brought my heart to be mature,

and I got an idea that I would become a painter.

The gun noise incurred in Great Cultural Revolution (1966-1977) broke my unclear dream,

but it trained my “skill” of hard working.

For my outstanding ability, I climbed up from the deep coal mining pit

and went into field of “higher education” of China.

I ignorantly and disorderly drew and drew,

I did know my target and puzzled year after year.

Until one day, I arrived at the streets of Paris with my trembling and very excited heart.

I wandered into over hundreds of galleries and finally knew what is painting.

It should paint what I love and paint with my heart. Subsequently,

I drew many paintings that are composed with circles and reflect the ancient culture of Chinese people.

Kandinsky considered that circle is the collection of points,

spiral movement of line and unlimited increase of plane.

In my opinion, it has another profound meaning:

n       Naissance of life, the most original source of life.

n       Style of life among barbarism, nature and world.

n       Stable, but also unstable.

n       Intrinsic strength, limitless time and boundless space.

n       Movement and tranquility, balance of power.

n       Eastern Supreme Ultimate, the conception of “Heaven and Human Form the Whole World”.

It is a memorable event in my mind this time when my works are exhibited in the highest art palace of China

National Art Museum of China.

I will acknowledge the support of leaders and the assistance of relevant personnel of this Gallery.

I will also express my appreciation to my family members, my wife and daughter.

Their love and understanding lead me to work in a peaceful and free mood.
